The YMCA Akron Rotary Camp is a fun-filled camping experience for children ages 6-17 who have physical, developmental or mild behavioral disabilities. Volunteers, age 15 or older, are needed to chaperone campers, work in the kitchen, keep the camp clean, and take part in activities. Volunteers are needed during overnight summer camps in June, July and August and on respite weekends and days throughout the year. The YWCA is a non-profit agency working to improve the lives of women and their families and is committed to the empowerment of women and the elimination of racism. Volunteers, age 16 and older, are needed to work with administrative staff, assist teachers in classrooms, help with before and after school programs and summer camps, and special events.
